“Yes, You Can Dance! is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through the power of dance. We partner with community organizations, dance professionals, health professionals and educators to design and provide dance opportunities for individuals with special needs, people with Multiple Sclerosis, and more.
The benefits are unmatched when it comes to being part of our mission, as we strive to provide growth in areas of patience, compassion and living in the moment. Not only is dance great for physical health, but it also plays a large role in both mental and emotional health as well. Our curriculums bring about positive changes to emotions and attitudes through dance, as an instantaneous outlet for stress relief and enhanced motor skills.”
In Motion Ballroom is proud to have a continued relationship with Yes! You Can Dance!, to help introduce the program into local schools, train certified YYCD! instructors, and to provide a space where students of all abilities can have a place to express themselves, gain confidence, and enjoy the benefits of dance!
“Shifting Gears United was created to provide adaptive sports programs to wounded veterans, first responders and the disability community. Their purpose is to empower, educate, and enable the disability communities they serve to train and participate in mainstream sports. They offer multi adaptive sport programs to assist in rehabilitation through wellness and health, and they encourage and welcome anyone to participate.
By providing these sport programs they help these athletes improve strength, stability, self esteem, and quality of life. Rather than a hand-out, they become part of a unified team, with respect and support for each other to get stronger, go faster, go farther and reach for their dreams and goals. There are no limit. Their focus for Shifting Gears United is to maintain and continue breaking down barriers and continue educating on all inclusion.”
In Motion Ballroom is proud to collaborate with Shifting Gears United and The Els for Autism Foundation to perform at the 48th Annual Jupiter/Tequesta Christmas Parade!
Attack Theatre - Annual Adaptive Dance Series
“The Adaptive Dance Series is a virtual weekend of free dance workshops designed specifically for children and adults with emotional, cognitive, and physical disabilities. Participants will connect with a community of movers from across the country through a variety of dance styles, including contemporary, jazz, ballet, and latin styles. Regardless of previous dance experience, participants will gain a unique virtual experience through adaptive movement workshops.”
In Motion Ballroom is proud to participate in the Adaptive Dance Series by Attack Theatre for the third year in a row; the ability to provide an outlet of creative expression in a virtual setting has allowed us to connect with dancers of all abilities from all parts of the country!
Dance for Ukraine Event
We had the honor of collaborating with the Palm Beach County School District in March 2022 to raise funds to support relief efforts in Ukraine. With the help of the school, attendees, and volunteers, we were able to raise over $16,000 in aid for the people of Ukraine. As this is a humanitarian effort that is close to our hearts, we are continuing to raise funds and send aid directly to families in need in Ukraine.
Admirals Cove Foundation - Dancing with the Stars
The Admirals Cove Foundation exists to improve lives in our northern Palm Beach County community and to strengthen Admirals Cove through their culture of giving. Through their annual Season of Giving campaign, the Foundation’s efforts are focused exclusively in the areas of education, health, and social services.
Their mission drives a larger vision of the Admirals Cove Foundation . A vital culture of giving, reflecting the quality of living that is Admirals Cove.
In Motion Ballroom had the honor of collaborating with the Admirals Cove Foundation in March 2023 to raise funds to support the educational goals of the Admirals Cove staff. We had three talented dancers participate, and one of our students even helped organize this fun event. We look forward to participating for years to come!
